Sunflower Competition 2026
Add some sunshine into your life and join us for the 2026 Sunflower Growing Competition.Â
If you would like to take part, let us know by completing the form below and we will send you a packet of our magic seeds. You have until the end of August to grow your plants as tall as possible.
This is truly something just about anyone can take part in so get your family and friends involved and borrow someone’s garden if you need to!
The Rules!
The rules are very simple..
1. You will receive a packet of 10 seeds to grow – please use the seeds provided so everyone is using the same variety of flower.
2. Plant the seeds in a pot or in the ground in mid-late spring.
3. Give the plants much love when they are growing and please send us regular updates/photos by e-mail. We will send you updates by email and will add selected photos to this page.
4. The closing date for the competition is 31st August 2026 and the 3 winners will be based on the tallest plants grown. If you think your plant has reached it’s maximum height before the closing date, feel free to measure it and send us a photo earlier.
5. If you think you have a winning bloom, send us an approximate height of your plant. If you look like a favourite, we will come and check the height ready for the final judging. £50 first prize and runner up prizes for 2nd and third place.
The competition is free to enter although we are encouraging participants to make a donation to help support the people of Ukraine as the war reaches it’s 5th year.Â
